NTUC Care (Back-to-School)

Eligible members can receive up to $240 e-Vouchers for their children's school-related essentials.

What is NTUC Care (Back-to-School)?

The NTUC Care (Back-to-School) is an assistance programme which supports our lower-income union members with school-going children by helping to defray their cost of purchasing school-related essentials.

 

 

Who can apply for NTUC Care (Back-to-School)?

Union members must meet the following criteria to be successful in their application:

1.

Membership

 

Members who wish to apply for the grant must have at least 6 continuous months of membership at the point of application and must not be in arrears.

 

2.

Dependents

 

Members must have full-time school-going children who are:

  1. Residing in the same household as the member; AND
  2. Attending school in 2025 at an eligible educational institution* in Singapore as follows:
  • Kindergarten (K1 or K2);
  • Government / Government-Aided / Independent Schools (for Primary, Secondary, Junior College, Millennia Institute) under the Ministry of Education (MOE);
  • Local Institute of Technical Education; Local Polytechnic; Local Sports / Arts Institution (pre-university students); OR
  • Special Education (SPED) School under MOE


Note:

  • Graduating students who will not be attending school in Year 2026 are not eligible.
  • Each child is only eligible for the e-Voucher once. i.e. If both parents are members, child(ren) will only be approved in one application.

 

3.

Income

 

  1. Total Monthly Gross Household Income of $3,800 and below, OR
  2. Per Capita Income of $950 and below if Gross Household Income exceeds $3,800


Note:

  • Household refers to member’s immediate family members living in the same household in Singapore excluding domestic helper.
  • Gross income is defined as all income derived from employment/business, inclusive of overtime and allowances.

 

 

 

Award Quantum for Successful Application

$120 e-Vouchers per eligible school-going child. With an additional $120 e-Vouchers per eligible school-going child studying in a special needs school under Ministry of Education (MOE).

 

 

How to apply for NTUC Care (Back-to-School)

The application period is from 29 Oct 2025, 12pm to 3 December 2025, 4pm. Please note that late submissions will not be processed. 

 

 All applications must be submitted online via the OneCARE System.

 

 Please prepare and upload the following documents when submitting your application:

  1. Income documents of the member and all family members living in the same household as the member, excluding those who are currently studying;
  2. Birth certificates of all children in the household as the member;
  3. Education supporting documents for eligible school-going children living in the same household as the member;
  4. Proof of residential address for all family members living in the same household as the member, except for the member’s spouse and children

When and how will I receive the NTUC Care (Back-to-School) e-vouchers?

Applications will be processed within 30 working days from the application submission date. Successful applications will receive an email with their application outcome and instructions to claim the e-Vouchers via OneCARE Portal.

Note:

  • A unique e-Voucher URL containing the e-Vouchers will be generated for each eligible school-going child.
  • It is recommended to use a mobile device to obtain the e-Voucher URL on OneCARE Portal. If you are using a laptop or computer, please zoom out on the page to ensure the full table—including the URL(s) on the right—is/are visible.

 

 

How do I use the NTUC Care (Back-to-School) e-vouchers?

The NTUC Care (Back-to-School) e-Vouchers will be issued via RedeemSG, the same platform used for NTUC Care (U Stretch) and the nationwide voucher schemes with similar redemption process.

 

The e-Vouchers must be used in fixed denominations as issued. Any remaining balance must be paid using other payment methods after the e-Vouchers are applied. No refund will be given if the actual purchase amount is lower than the e-Voucher amount used.

 

The e-Vouchers are valid for use at participating merchants - Bata, Pacific Bookstores, Popular and school uniform suppliers. The list of participating outlets can be viewed here.

 

The e-Vouchers are valid until 31 March 2026 and strictly no extensions will be granted after the expiry date.
