At the Ministry of Manpower Committee of Supply Debate, NTUC Assistant Secretary-General Patrick Tay calls for a review of the Career Conversion Programme to better support workers.
At the Ministry of Manpower’s (MOM) Committee of Supply Debate on 4 March 2024, NTUC Assistant Secretary-General Patrick Tay called for a review of the Career Conversion Programme (CCP) to better support workers.
Citing the SkillsFuture training allowance of $3,000 per month for workers to attend programmes at Institutes of Higher Learning (IHL), he felt that workers undergoing CCPs may require more support to make the switch.
He proposed for MOM to review the existing CCP training allowance for workers during their training period.
